Pre-Summit Rural Funder Network Meeting & Site Visits

Thursday, April 23, 2026 (11:30 AM - 5:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Join PhilMO’s Rural Funder Network in the field for a Pre-Summit experience in Rolla. This funder-only program offers the opportunity to connect with grantmaking peers, engage with local nonprofit and community leaders, and explore collaborative, innovative approaches to rural investment.

We'll begin with an informal lunch meet up at a local restaurant (separate checks) followed by two site visits highlighting community-driven work. The afternoon will conclude with a short Network meeting and group debrief to reflect on key takeaways. Participants are then invited to continue the conversation over refreshments at the Rural Philanthropy Summit Social.

Please note: This Pre-Summit program is for funders only and requires separate registration from the Rural Philanthropy Summit.

About the Network

The Rural Funder Network supports Missouri funders who invest in — or are exploring — rural communities. This Network meets quarterly virtually or in rural communities across the state to build and deepen trusted relationships, share effective and innovating practices, and explore opportunities for collaboration.

Participants gain a deeper understanding of rural communities and equitable philanthropic practice, strengthen partnerships, help bring more resources and visibility to rural Missouri.

Special thanks to the Patterson Family Foundation for providing grant support for the Rural Funder Network.
